![]() I know I’ve spent a lot of time in my room, I was just." He got a far-away look in his eyes, like he did so often since they’d gotten back. but he kept quiet and watched while Donnie's face twisted into a few different shapes before settling into mildly exasperated. Thought we'd have to come peel you away from your computer. "'Ey, Mikey, quit lollygagging and find us a scoop alread-oh," Raph rounded the corner and cut himself off when he saw two turtles turned to look at him instead of one. Donnie just sighed and looked up at the ceiling as if asking some higher power to grant him patience. "Oh Donatello, you're such a good brotherrrrr-" Mikey drawled, latching onto Donnie in an awkward side hug with both arms and legs, rubbing his face against Donnie's plastron and making big-baby-bro eyes at him. "Guess it's a good thing I'm contractually bound to do them tonight. "Maybe not when any of you do the dishes," Donnie huffed. ![]() Instead, Donnie pulled out two scoopers, and Mikey’s jaw dropped. Here, the ice cream scoops are in with the rest of the spoons."ĭonnie slid open the silverware drawer, and Mikey waited for that long sigh of disappointment he knew was coming, but it never came. "That'll teach you to sneak up on people when they’re half inside a cupboard!”ĭonnie rolled his eyes and smiled. "Yes, the dishes," Mikey said, wriggling his fingers in a spooky gesture. ![]() "The dishes too?" Don sighed, "But I did them last time!" "Got it! You have to help me find an ice cream scoop, give yourself a brain freeze, and help with the dishes afterwards!" "Hmmm, what would be a just punishment for this crime." He snapped his fingers with an idea. “I might've given myself a concussion!" Mikey rubbed his aching head and grinned. "Geeze, Donnie, give a turtle a heart attack why don'tcha!" Mikey yelped and smacked his head against the top of the counter. He sighed and shoved them all back inside, sticking his head in to examine the dark corners for any sign of a scooper. Mikey knelt down and cautiously opened the door, holding one hand low to catch the mispatched lids that came spilling out, but he inevitably missed a few that clattered to the floor. None of the dirty dishes in the sink were scoopers, and the freezer was a no-go, as was the fridge, the pantry, the oven, and the tea cabinet. "Aye aye, cap'n!" Mikey saluted and immediate started the long search-their ice cream scoopers always ended up in the strangest of locations. "I got the toppings if you track down an ice cream scoop," Raph said. Raph was first to join the impromptu sundae bar-he heard Mikey's shout and was already hauling out the ice cream by the time Mikey made it to the kitchen.
